Parleen
This is a beautiful song made famous by Parleen Singh Gill, an India Indian who sang this on his last performance on Indian Idol. I have no idea what the song is all about, but it's very touching and sad.

it seemed from the pans through the audience and to the judges, the "younger" people were very moved by this song, and the "older" looking judges were not as moved. either they have learned to be more stoic or they were not as moved.
i liked the sound though i too had no idea what the song is about.
I found out the name of the song is "Layi Vi Na Gayee" which is apparently a love song. Not sure if that's what made it emotional, but the song is nice.
