Going, Going, Gone! The death of Sears
Sears is going out of business. Normally I don't cheer someone else's bad luck, but in this case I say good-bye and good riddance! I used to like Sears until they started getting desperate using outrageous predatory credit card practices.
Ther first time I opened a statement and saw that they increased the interest rates to 29.99% I went into shock. The smartest thing I did was cut up my sears card and then close the account. I couldn't take their pawn shop interest rates any longer. I'm pretty sure I wasn't alone in my disgust and countless others probably did the same. It's no surprise they are going under.
I have to admit I'll probably miss giving Crafstman tools for Christmas, but then again there's always Snap-On.
Other than that, someone tell me when the last store closes. I want to be there to help them turn off the lights.
